This is our entry level pilot program. After successfully completing this course, you will be able to pilot an airplane under Visual Flight Rules. All of your flight time will be spent in a late model Cessna 172 SP airplane. The "knowledge" portion of the training is self-guided using a kit of CD-ROMs with “one-on-one” briefings with your flight instructor, as needed. The FAA requires applicants for the Private Pilot flight test to have logged at least 40 hours of flight instruction, with at least 10 of those hours as the sole occupant of the aircraft.
Experience has shown that the average person who presents him or herself for the test has at least 55 hours of flight training logged. Below is a price listing for 40 hours of training, and the more realistic average of 55 hours.
